5 Lallemand Ingredients for the Skin Microbiome

Lallemand has begun offering a line of prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics for the skin microbiome.

The company recently showcased three ingredients at in-cosmetics Paris, offering benefits in healthy skin aging, anti-aging and more.

The ingredients include:

Lallbiome 200 (INCI: inactivated Lactobacillus Helveticus HA-122), a postbiotic ingredient that promotes cell anti-senescence to support healthy aging.

Seven unique exopolysaccharides (EPS) (INCI: Varies), including 6 sulfated EPS, derived from marine microorganism metabolites developed to prevent the formation of pathogen biofilms (includingin oral applications) and fight blemishes.

Beauty Yeast Mask (INCI: Not Provided), a second-skin beauty mask with a matrix made mainly from microorganisms, including beta-glucan yeast fractions. Developed with TechNature, the moisturizing, soothing, anti-aging mask improves radiance and reduces redness and imperfections.

Lallemand acquired Swiss biotech Evolva in late 2023, rounding out the company’s microorganism capabilities. Evolva developed and patented a yeast fermentation process to produce ingredients for cosmetics, health and flavors and fragrances.

The company recently featured two of these ingredients:

Juneo (INCI: Not Provided): a multi-functional ingredient with various benefits, regulating a range of biological activities on skin and hair, as evidenced by scientific studies.The ingredient also provides provides anti-aging effects.

Larally (INCI: Not Provided): a high-purity natural responsible bioactive L-Arabinose, made via a white biotech fermentation process for a balanced skin microbiome.
